Medications Which Can Cause Stretch Marks

Many people take medications today, and the numbers have continued to grow in recent years. Some of these medicines are not approved by the FDA, and are known to cause a number of side effects. One of the side effects that these medicines cause is stretch marks. Stretch marks are scars on the skin which result from damage which is done to the dermis layer. Though they can be unpleasant to look at, they are not known to cause health problems.

There are a number of medications which are used by people who get stretch marks. One of the most well known is called Prednisone. This medicine is commonly prescribed for those who have problems with their skin, asthma, or kidneys. Prednisone is a very powerful drug and is describe by many people as being unpleasant to use. Unfortunately, there are few alternatives as this drug is proven to fight numerous ailments. However, a large number of patients reported getting stretch marks after using this medication.

Another medication which is known to cause stretch marks is called Dianette. This medicine is a birth control tool which is used by some women. Many women have reported that stretch marks "suddenly appeared" when they started using it. Another birth control medicine which has been known to cause stretch marks is called Depo Pervera. Like many birth control medicines, Depo Pervera is known to cause hormonal changes in the body, and many experts believe that changes in the hormones is the primary cause of stretch marks.

A number of anti depression medicines are also believed to cause stretch marks. Some experts even believe that depression itself is a leading cause as well. Many people who have taken Zoloft are reporting that they are developing stretch marks. Another medication called Elocon has also been reported by those who have developed stretch marks. Because of these numerous cases, it is hard to believe that some medications are not the cause of this condition.

Despite the examples above, it is important to note that not all birth control or anti depression medicines cause stretch marks. If you want to learn more about a particular medicine, it is best to talk with your doctor. The actual cause for stretch marks is still debated among healthcare professionals, but hormonal changes in the body are seen as being a possible cause. Many medications are known to alter the hormonal state of the body.

If you do get stretch marks there are many so called "cures" on the market today but most of their claims are way off the mark. Many like emu oil are nothing more than everyday moisturisers. If you are going to try a stretch mark treatment you will doubtless not want to waste a lot of hard earned cash trying to find the right one. You should be looking at treatments which provide hard medical evidence and back up there claims with a money back guarantee, this way it is a win-win situation.

This is where I come in. I have tried numerous "miracle" cures for my stretch marks to no avail but there are one or two that work as they say they do. One of these is TriLastin SR, a new formula which actually does what it says it will do. It also comes with a 60 day money back guarantee but, as they say in their ad, "Permanent Dramatic Reduction of Deep Furrows and Discoloration within 30 Days " so you should be seeing actual results long before the 60 days is up. I used TriLastin SR myself and after just seven days there was a dramatic improvement in the look, color and feel of my stretch marks.

After one month it continued to improve drastically. I kept using it for 6 months after which my stretch marks were just about invisible. It was easy to use (even easier for me as I got my husband to apply it!!!), non scented, as some people can react to the scents that some firms use, and to my surprise TriLastin SR was totally non greasy.

If you want to get an effective stretch mark treatment I can highly recommend using the new formula TriLastin SR. Click on the link below to read more...you will be glad you did.
