Botox Facelift

One of the most exciting uses for botox is the botox facelift. A facelift only applies to the lower half of the face (despite it's name) and is used for treating such things as a crinkled neck, a softened jaw line, loose skin on the cheeks and thickened neck bands.

Those who have a significant amount of sagging fat in the neck and face would get great results from a normal cosmetic facelift, but for those who aren't at that advanced stage, a botox facelift is ideal.

A few injections in the chords of the neck can make the bands in the neck become less prominent while the lines there disappear and even the corners of the mouth get picked up slightly. Although it sounds painful, there is practically no pain associated with injecting in the neck.

It must be stressed  that because the muscles on the lower half of the face are not as clearly defined as those on the upper part of the face, it can be difficult for an inexperienced person to deliver good results with botox in this area. Always try to find an experienced practitioner for any treatment that you have.

Nothing will stop ageing permanently, not even plastic surgery, so it is not uncommon for people who have already had a surgical facelift or two, to get a slight lift using botox rather than revisit a plastic surgeon.

Constantly pulling back the face using cosmetic surgery will not make you look any younger and only give you that dreaded 'wind tunnel' look.This is where the botox facelift can really come into it's own.
